Aim: To find an approximate amount of Fruit Flies in our backyard. Equiptment: PET Bottle, for the trap and Ice Cream Container to act as a holding container. Bait: Small Piece of Banana Outcome: Over 3 nights I caught over 100 flies but many flew out as I approached the trap and emptied the trap. I estimate there are over 1000 in our backyard.
